OMG Training & Development CIC is a grassroots education, training and mentoring provider that unlocks the potential of young people who face the greatest barriers to progression. Working across inner‑London, we focus on 16–25 year olds who are disengaged from education, at risk of long‑term unemployment or marginalised by poverty, discrimination and a lack of networks, and we design programmes that meet them where they are rather than expecting them to fit a traditional college model.

We deliver innovative learning programmes that blend accredited qualifications, vocational skills and intensive relational support so that young people can build the confidence, knowledge and resilience they need to thrive. Our courses are flexible and tailored, with a particular emphasis on the music, entertainment and wider creative industries, using young people’s existing passions as a gateway into structured learning and real‑world opportunity.

Our mission is to positively impact the lives of young people through education, training and mentorship, protecting their right to a fulfilling life, reducing disadvantage and helping them face the challenges in front of them. Every programme is built around this mission: to move learners from the margins into meaningful participation in education, work and community.
We offer a broad menu of programmes and services. Step Up Mentoring is a flagship structured mentoring programme that pairs City professionals with care‑experienced young Londoners aged 16–30, providing 12 months of career guidance, personal development and industry insight for a group who are often excluded from mainstream mentoring schemes. Through the Gate supports young people in custody up to and following release, assessing needs, building resettlement plans and connecting them to training and support in the community so that rehabilitation is real and sustainable. Our personalised mentorship offer works in schools and communities with young people at risk of becoming NEET, combining one‑to‑one sessions, team‑building and 26 weeks of intensive mentoring around goals such as attendance, behaviour, safety and future plans.
Alongside mentoring, we provide a range of accredited education and employability routes. Apprenticeships enable young people to earn while they learn, combining waged work with formal qualifications and on‑the‑job training. Traineeships support those not yet ready for an apprenticeship or employment to build core skills and experience, with a clear line of sight to the next step. Personal Skills Development and wider PSD sessions thread nine core personal and social skills through the week, covering communication, teamwork, resilience, wellbeing and life skills that underpin long‑term success.
OMG Training & Development also invests heavily in community engagement, empowerment initiatives and individualised support. We actively work with local communities to create inclusive opportunities, ensure under‑represented young people can access our programmes, and build a sense of belonging and contribution. Every learner receives tailored guidance and encouragement to navigate challenges such as housing, finances, mental health, gang pressure or caring responsibilities, with staff walking alongside them as they work towards their goals.
The impact of this joined‑up approach is clear in our outcomes. OMG’s programmes have supported hundreds of young people to move into fulfilling employment, further education or additional training, demonstrating that when you combine flexible learning, trusted mentoring and real pathways into work, you can change life trajectories.
